Dalton joins Alliance Racing F4 lineup for 2020
From a two-car program in 2018 to a six-car program in 2019, Alliance Racing Sponsored by Gas Monkey Energy has confirmed their fifth driver for this year's Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda. Joining David Burketh, Hayden Bowlsbey, Will Edwards and Will Holtz in the Alliance Racing efforts will be David Dalton Jr. as the Indianapolis based program continues to grow.
"Though the timeline of my racing career is short, I've made sure to prepare myself accordingly to be ready for an opportunity like this and to be able to work with such a dedicated team," explained Dalton. "I'm thoroughly excited because I know the team will always make sure to provide the resources I need to excel and extract everything I can out of the car. Gas Monkey Energy being onboard with the team as an active partner is truly another aspect of what makes this possible for me, and to help shape Alliance Racing into the team it is today. I am absolutely ecstatic to sit in the car for the first time, to begin something amazing for 2020 and going forward."
" David is bright driver and his character outside the car is second to none," expressed Alliance Racing's Toney Edwards. "After being out of the car for a while and showing up at the second to last event weekend in Sebring, David was able to bring home a 12th place result against drivers who had competed all season. With a little testing and a full season program, we expect David to be well up the running order in 2020."
Dalton continued, "I have nothing but optimism joining Alliance for 2020. I made my debut in F4 with a car that was good enough for me to show what I can do out the box, and Alliance Racing noticed my performance. In so many ways, they showed they have the confidence in my driving and my character to bring me onto their team. I have that same confidence in them, when I look at their 2019 results and the progress they have made this off season."
David Dalton Jr. would like to extend an extra special thank you to his father for putting forth the effort to make this opportunity come to fruition. David also sends a big thanks to the guys at Alliance Racing and Gas Monkey Energy for the amazing opportunity.
