March 7, 2022 – Announced as joining the Jay Howard Driver Development (JHDD) for both his series debut and rookie season, Dane Scott will commence both this weekend at the opening round of the F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda. Taking place at the famed NOLA Motorsports Park, Scott will be part of a potent eight driver JHDD lineup for the first event weekend of the season.
Looking to follow in the footsteps of fellow graduates of the potent JHDD program, Scott will make three race starts this weekend as he looks to kick off the 2023 season with momentum that will help carry him through the rest of the year.
“I am amped and ready to start my first F4 season with Jay Howard and the JHDD team,” expressed Dane Scott. “This is a monumental task for me but no matter how big or small the challenge, I am up for it and can’t wait to get the series started.”
With drivers hitting the track Thursday for unofficial practice, official sessions will begin on Friday with wheel-to-wheel races taking place Saturday and Sunday.
“Dane is fairly new when it comes to motorsports, but I think we can mold him into a racer and a winner,” added Jay Howard. “Every driver must start somewhere, and Dane has chosen the JHDD F4 program. His learning curve will be steep, but he is excited about the opportunity and challenge and so are we.”
The 2023 F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda season will kick off this weekend at NOLA Motorsports Park in New Orleans, Louisiana.
