Nicolas Stati Wins F4 U.S. Pole at Mid-Ohio

LEXINGTON, Ohio (June 22, 2024) – Nicolas Stati (No. 15 Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F422) won the pole for Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Saturday morning. Recording a 1:25.952 lap, Stati held a 0.279-second advantage over second-place Daniel Quimby (No. 24 Cruise America / MIR Raceline / FIJI Airways / GalvanizeIns Ligier JS F422). Alex Crosbie (No. 41 Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F422) took third.

Stati was the class of the field on Friday, leading both practice sessions at the Mid-Ohio SpeedTour. With a lap time of 1:25.228 in first practice and a 1:25.931 in second practice, the Australian held a narrow margin over the competition in a very tight field.

Pablo Benites Jr. (No. 44 Scuderia Buell Ligier JS F422), the most recent winner in F4 U.S., was just 0.074-seconds behind Stati in opening practice, while Quimby rounded out the top three. By the end of the 40-minute session, the top five were separated by less than a second.

In second practice, Crosbie trailed Stati by just 0.146-seconds in second, with Quimby rounding out the top three.
