Twos Wins and Seven Podium Results for Crosslink Kiwi Motorsports at NJMP

August 1, 2024 – It was another dominating performance for Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport at New Jersey Motorsports Park. In an event that featured the FR Americas Championship, the F4 U.S. Championship, and the Ligier JSF4 Series, the Texas-based program chalked up seven wins and 19 podium finishes. Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport leaves New Jersey leading all three Team Driver Championships.

“What a great weekend. A pole position in each class, and at least one win in each category, shows the true strength of our overall program,” explained Teena Larsen. “The goal remains the same as we focus on the Driver and Team Championship in all three classes. If we keep doing what we have been, we will accomplish our goals.”

FR Americas

Six podium results on the weekend came from the six Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport drivers in the FR Americas program, as Patrick Woods-Toth led the way with three podium results. Earning the pole position in qualifying for race one, the new championship leader went third, third, and first on the result sheets to take over the championship point lead with one event remaining. Jett Bowling had one of his best weekends in FR competition and it all started with qualifying on Saturday when he clocked the fourth-fastest lap time and outside row four starting position. From there, Bowling scored a pair of fourth place results before ending his weekend on the podium in third.

Titus Sherlock garnered a race win for Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport as he crossed the line first in race one and added to that with a second-place finish in race two. Sherlock’s weekend ended shortly in race three as a three-way battle into turn one and contact damaged his steering as he failed to finish the final race of the weekend. Landan Matriano Lim finished his best weekend of competition this season with sixth and a pair of fifth-place finishes in his three wheel-to-wheel races. Nicole Havrda’s best finish was seventh in race two, adding to her eighth-place finish and unfortunate DNF in the other wheel-to-wheel races, while Ricco Shlaimoun was seventh in races one and three and ninth in race two for his best points-scoring weekend of 2024.

F4 U.S. Championship

With six podium results from the FR Americas program, it was two wins and seven podium finishes for the Crosslink Kiwi F4 U.S. trio. Nicholas Stati kicked off the weekend right, earning the race one pole position as Alex Crosbie and Barrett Wolfe were second and fifth respectively. Stati went on to earn two podium results, including a win in race two. Finishing second in the first wheel-to-wheel race of the weekend, Stati won race two and went on to be classified fifth in race three after a post-race penalty. Crosbie earned a victory in race one to make it a one–two finish in that race and went on to finish second and second in races two and three. Barrett Wolfe added a trio of top-five results, including a pair of third-place podium results in races one and three, to go along with his P5 result in race two.

Ligier JSF4 Series

Kekai Hauanio began his weekend with a pole position in the Ligier JSF4 Series and earned three second-place podium results. In a class that Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport dominated, Hauanio finished second to teammate Brad Majman on all three occasions. With Majman taking the wins in races one, two, and three to sweep the top step of the podium, Hauanio made it a one–two finish for the team. Demitri Nolan converted his fifth-place qualifying result into a pair of top-five results in races two and three as he finished fourth and fifth, improving on his P6 result from race one. Bacon Zelenka was able to earn three-point scoring results finishing seventh, ninth, and ninth.

Next up for the Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport FR Americas and F4 U.S Championship will be a trip to Canada and the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park in late August. The JSF4 Series will shift its focus to the season finale at the Circuit of the Americas in late October.
