Daniel Quimby Claims F4 U.S. Pole, Nicolas Stati Leads Practice at CTMP

BOWMANVILLE, Ontario, Canada (August 30, 2024) – Daniel Quimby claimed the Formula 4 United States Championship presented by Mosport Karting Centre (F4 U.S.) pole at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) on Friday afternoon. Driving for Nova Scotia-based Atlantic Racing Team, Quimby (No. 24 Cruise America / MIR Raceline / FIJI Airways / GalvanizeIns Ligier JS F422) set a fast lap of 1:19.529 to hold a 0.908-second advantage over second-place Nicolas Stati (No. 15 AGI Sport Ligier JS F422). Connor Roberts (No. 46 ApexSpeed.com / Entropy Cellars Ligier JS F422), the championship’s most-recent winner, rounded out the top three.

Earlier this morning, F4 U.S. had their sole practice session of the weekend. Stati topped that leaderboard, recording a 1:20.150 lap and bettering his Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport teammate Alex Crosbie (No. 41 Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F422) by 0.153 seconds. Just two one-thousandths back, Quimby was third.
