Three Podiums for Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport in Canada

September 6, 2024 – Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport and Patrick Woods-Toth secured the FR Americas Driver Championship this past weekend at the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (CTMP). In a dominating weekend, the team earned three wins and 11 podium results across FR Americas and F4 U.S. Championship competition.

Leading the FR Americas contingent was newly-crowned champion and Canadian Patrick Woods-Toth. Earning the title on home soil, Woods-Toth scored the pole position and three race wins in a perfect weekend of wheel-to-wheel racing. Behind him, Titus Sherlock converted his second-place starting position into a pair of podium results, finishing second in races one and two before a disappointing ninth-place classification in race three. Jett Bowling added three podium finishes to the Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport resume with a pair of third-place finishes in races one and two and improved to second in race three.

Landan Matriano Lim had a strong performance, qualifying fourth and maintaining that position in races one and three. Nicole Havrda improved in all three races from her initial ninth-place qualifying effort, finishing seventh, fifth, and sixth in the three races. Ricco Shlaimoun had a decent qualifying result to start sixth for race one, and while he finished tenth, he improved in races two and three, finishing sixth and seventh, while Kevin Janzen added two eighth-place results and a seventh.

Three podium finishes came from the F4 U.S. Championship trio, with Nicolas Stati and Alex Crosbie both making trips to the podium. Stati will enter the final event weekend with a slim championship point lead, with only 5.5 markers separating him and his closest rival. Stati maintained his lead courtesy of second, fourth, and third-place results in his three wheel-to-wheel races over the weekend. Crosbie, who had a disappointing sixth-place result in race one, returned to race two to climb to the third step of the podium. Back on track for race three, Crosbie added a top-five finish to his weekend results with a fourth. Barrett Wolfe remained consistent throughout the weekend with a pair of fifth-place finishes in races one and two before a P6 result in race three.

“We have achieved 75% of our goal,” explained Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport Teena Larsen. “With the Team Championships secured in both FR and F4, and the Driver’s Championship obtained in FR, we have one more event weekend, two more races, to ensure we come out on top in F4.”

Next stop for the Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport program will be a trip to the famed Circuit of the Americas (COTA) from October 31 to November 3 in Austin, Texas.
