CHARLOTTE (October 8, 2024) – Andretti Global announced that Lochie Hughes will join their 2025 INDY NXT lineup, as the driver of the No. 26 Andretti Dallara.
The 2022 Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) driver champion, Hughes recorded six wins, 10 podiums, seven poles and five fastest laps in 18 F4 U.S. starts that season. From there, he joined the USF2000 Championship field, earning the 2023 Rookie of the Year award, before stepping up to USF Pro 2000 and winning the 2024 championship.
Hughes will join the defending INDY NXT championship team, taking over for 2024 INDY NXT champion Louis Foster. The Australian is set to make his first laps with the Andretti Global organization on October 18, while participating in the Chris Griffis Memorial Test on the road course at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
