PLYMOUTH, Wis. (May 20, 2023) – Jesse Lacey (No. 16 Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F4) secured his first-career pole in Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda (F4 U.S.) competition on Saturday morning. With a 2:17.924 lap at the 4.048-mile Road America, Lacey set a new track record on the freshly paved circuit.
Patrick Woods-Toth (No. 27 Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F4) was second quick, followed by Alex Berg (No. 08 MySim.ca/Rhode & Liesenfeld/Easy Drift/Penn Elcom Online/Dae Systems Ligier JS F4) in third.
The stewards issued a memo following the session that an alternate timing line that was originally to be used was intermittent and not reliable. Therefore, the qualifying grid was set by times recorded at the start/finish line.
