MILLVILLE, N.J. (July 29, 2023) – Jesse Lacey secured the pole for Race 1 at New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) in Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda (F4 U.S.) competition on Saturday morning. Driving the No. 16 Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3 on Hankook tires, the Australian laid down a 1:24.095 lap to earn his second-career pole. Lacey currently ranks third in the driver’s championship standings with four podium finishes, including three runner-up results, while he still searches for his first win.
Alex Berg (No. 08 MySim.ca / Rohde & Liesenfeld / Easy Drift / Penn Elcom Online / Dae Systems Ligier JS F4), who finished last year’s NJMP race weekend with two fourth-place finishes and a fifth-place result, qualified second this morning with a 1:24.166. Current points leader Patrick Woods-Toth (No. 27 Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F4) rounded out the top three after pacing yesterday’s practice.
