CHARLOTTE (June 8, 2023) – Meyer Shank Racing announced that David Malukas will join the team to complete the 2024 INDYCAR Championship season as the pilot of the No. 66 Honda.
The 2020 FR Americas Vice Champion signed with Arrow McLaren earlier this year, but was sidelined before the season even started after suffering an injury to his left hand and wrist in a mountain biking accident. With an extended recovery, Malukas will kick off his 2024 season at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca later this month.
In FR Americas, Malukas finished second in the 2020 standings behind now-Ganassi driver, Linus Lundqvist. From there, Malukas went on to finish second to Kyle Kirkwood, another FR Americas Champion, in the 2021 INDY NXT season, before moving to INDYCAR to compete in his rookie season with Dale Coyne Racing in 2022. His career-best INDYCAR finish is second, recorded twice, both times at World Wide Technology Raceway.
